For the last couple of years I have been really searching for a direction for my work. An online coleague said about some of my work that I attempt to capture "the world [which the subject] lives" when I read that, it was a true "ah-ha" moment.
Since I have pretty abandoned the stale, cold and inhuman world of abstract expressionism and modernist philosophy, I feel a bit confused about what I am exactly trying to do.
This idea of capturing inanimate objects as if they exist within a reflection of my own world view is exactly it and has been developing in that direction ever since I started taking photographs regularly again.
This colleague's eloquent interpretation of this in such concrete and tangiable words will help tremendously to get my groove back after years of being off in the weeds and return to the focused work product that I desperately need.
