I'm a craft junkie - the chick who's always at the local craft fair looking for unique things to bring home and marvel over! I'm an avid knitter and cross stitcher, and dabble in hardanger when I have enough patience. I used to craft using rubber stamps until I gave birth...and...well...I don't do much of anything now-a-days except crafts that are "compact" and "quick to clean up and/or conceal in an instant". I collect turtles, and have for many years. “Twertle” was born during an alcohol induced evening shared with hilarious Brits on the island of Malta. I’ll just leave it at that.
I am the wife of the best US NAVY Sailor in the world, and therefore have been removed from my Southern roots with a vengeance! I love it, though. I may complain about how hard it is at times being married to someone in the service (and it's damn hard) but all in all I love it! I've visited 10 countries in less than 7 years - not many people can say that. :) Not too shabby for a little girl from North Carolina.
Our first baby is Kenna Benna Poo Poo Pants - a purebred-Sicilian-dumpster-dog I snatched up when she was about 6 weeks old and starving. She is spoiled absolutely rotten and I hope some day to be reincarnated into her spoiled-rotten life! Our second baby (spitting image of his mother, I might add) will be 3 soon and he’s just the apple of my eye! He’s got a great personality, lots of spunk, and an attitude that just won’t quit (no clue where he gets that from).
If you knit, you can find me as “twertlegirl” on www.ravelry.com
If you don’t knit, well, come sit by me and I’ll teach you how!
