In my view, creation exists only in abstract terms. Rather than attempt to generate the illusion of invention, I feel an obligation to acknowledge deliberate art as an act of discovery. With this in mind, I am compelled to reanalyze familiar objects and scenes, and manipulate their contextual value. Inspiration is derived from the prospect of discovering fascination in the ordinary and communicating the experience. As I experiment with juxtaposition and skewed perspectives, alternative identities and relationships between subjects start to emerge, and the lines between certain and implied realities begin to blur.

By embracing the unpredictable qualities of projections, reflective materials, filtered and interrupted light, I produce images that expose connections between cerebral and intuitive conception. The process is most compelling, when rules, limits, and even general guidelines are absent or reduced. While willful action is employed to finalize an image, the element of randomness is introduced to the digital medium by inducing primitive visual anomalies.
