21st-Century Abe (www.21stcenturyabe.org) is an innovative, interactive website celebrating Abraham Lincoln’s legacy and rooted in the Rosenbach Museum & Library’s collections of rare and important Lincoln materials. The project is centered around thirty documents, ranging from Lincoln’s attempt to explain his family history to the manuscript of the Baltimore Address. Starting Feb 12, 2009 visitors to www.21stcenturyabe.org will be able to explore these documents digitally and access a variety of interpretations by both scholars and contemporary artists, and will be able to imagine, design, and upload their own interpretations .
