Still learning how to 'be here now'. Will put up a serious profile when I get a chance look in the mirror and check my life CV. Meantime: After the obvious, all encompassing priority of loving my family and friends, I live in SW London and I like (in no particular order) walking in mountains (Wales usually), camping, cycling (roadie), reading (all sorts, but slacking on this as I have a pile by the bed unread), building PCs and tinkering with computer hardware, Photoshop, Photography, music (listening to all sorts and playing in a large 60's Soul band - must start making my own again), violent computer games (they stop me from taking a Chieftan Tank out onto the streets), Pims No 1 Cup ( the best summer drink there is in my opinion) and a bottle of (if I can find one) Grahams vintage Port at Yulemas time, avoiding my DIY responsibilities, days when I can lie-in for as long as I like, drawing painting sketching etc.. which I am ashamed to say is the thing I'm really lazy at, considering it's an ability I was born with (a kind of blasphemy probably), eating sweets (you can still get those flying saucers with sherbet in! and Parma Violets!. I will go on at a later date (if only to remind myself of me).
I have no fixed religion, my beliefs are very animal/survival, ie; Do as you would be done by, try not to make enemies, and try to always leave people on good terms (my granma taught me these things, and try as I may, I haven't managed to follow any other way of being, which is probably why I'm not rich in money, but rich in friends. I like to think I would lay down my life for those that I love, but I'd rather the circumstances didn't arise to have to prove it!
Oh yes, my favourite Zen saying, told to me, ironically, by an old friend, who will now not speak to me because he didn't like something I said - "The one who asks a question, is a fool for the moment. The one who never questions, is a fool forever"
