Tupos (too-pos') is a Greek noun with a double meaning in English. Tupos means (1) to be an example or a pattern for, and (2) to make an impact on or leave an impression from one object on another. Our desire as a ministry is to teach students to and grow them in being an example and making an impact for Christ is this world. This word is rooted in the theme verse for this ministry, found in 1 Timothy 4:12, which reads "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe" (NASB).
