I thought I would wrap up 2008 by writing a testimonial about about one of respected friends on Flickr. Lulu has shared her life in northern California through her photography. At first what I remember was her great flower photos. I thought she has an expensive DSLR, fancy lens, and was a professional photographer! Then I realized that she had a P&S, just a hobbyist, but just a terrific sense of beauty through the viewfinder. Then as time went by I started to see more and more of her daily life, her walks around the city, her family and Toby, her strong Catholic faith, her job (who can forget the 911 story), and expecially her food photos. I tend to get hungry everytime I look through her photos! She shoots such a variety of ethnic foods that we just don't see her in the backwoods of Florida, I feel like I am watching a Flickr version of The Food Network some days! Now she has a new camera so no telling what we will see in 2009. Lulu, cheers to 2008 and and even better 2009, keep the new camera working, and some day if I ever get to California again it will be just to go eat with you!
