My professional side has been married to my computers, since February 2000. The three Macs that have moved through my life/business have served me well. Their contribution to the streamlining of my business can't easily be measured. They have assisted me in learning the new technology that has taken me out of the traditional wet darkroom.
Yes, I'm a professional photographer. The traditional darkroom, in spite of its health hazards, was a friendlier more social place than its digital replacement. Friends would drop by, say hello and have a coffee while we planned a day hike, climb or drive through the prairies to photograph the changing landscape, social, cultural and geophysical.
Oh yea, I neglected to mention that I live in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. A 45 minute drive to the west places me in the mountains and a 45 minute drive in another direction places me well into the "Great Canadian Plains", once referred to as the breadbasket of the world.
From the lake district of North Western Ontario to the west coast of Vancouver Island and as far north as that strip of wilderness, that connects Uranium City, Fond-du-Lak and Stony Rapids, my camera and I have covered the majority of Western Canada, by auto and aircraft of every make and description.
For those who know their helicopters, the most memorable ride I've had was in a Bell-47. This is flying by the seat of your pants,..... and this older but reliable low-tech aircraft is flying at its best.
Time to go,..... more will be added when time allows.
