I simply love photography, visual story telling whether it is of war, family, the depression, various eras and cultures, any genre amongst hardships, for me that may be the most compelling. Yeah I know, I think that is called, Photojournalism/Documentary. :o)
As a working graphic designer I have a fond spot for commercial photography and I appreciate the lightness of it. As far as fine art photography goes, horrific or lovely... any and all forms of creative expression is why I observe, ponder, admire, learn and work in the creative world at all.
Once I made my decision to buy a digital slr, I shopped around, did my research and felt that the Sony Alpha (then, new to the market) would be a good choice for me, after shooting with it for a few months I decided that a Canon or the Nikon was the way to go. After hours of deciding which to buy, the Canon Digital Rebel XTi or the Nikon D80, I finally decided to grow with the Nikon, and I have not been disappointed, with the camera. I however, HAVE A LOT TO LEARN!!!
I would personally like to thank the whole slew of talented photographers, designers, artists { c r e a t i v e s } who share their talents and part of their lives on Flickr, it truly is innovation at its finest every time I take look around.
