I'm a geek. I'm an artist. I'm an ArtGeek.

I do IT support by day and take photos as a volunteer for several organizations, mostly the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, NY (USA). Through the 90s, I worked as a production artist in graphic design studios and advertising agencies, and I'm very comfortable with digital photography tools. I was the guy who made computers sit up and do tricks. I'm looking for a place to talk photography and hone my skills—I‘ve been shooting for a long time but have very little formal training.

Current photographic pursuits:

— My wife and I both volunteer at the Seneca Park Zoo in Rochester, NY. She is a docent, and I am a photographer.

— We went on a two-week tour of Southern Ireland. I took lots of pictures. ;-)

— I am a bicycle commuter and nearly always carry a camera with me, especially when riding along the Erie Canal and Genesee River.

— If I'm outside, chances are good I have a camera and am using it.

— I do occasional event photography for (mostly) nonprofit organizations.
