Drag to set position!
This is TrubadorPhotography™ ("The Images of Life"). I started taking photos back in 2007 with a simple digital Canon PowerShot A530 pocket-sized point-&-shoot camera in Auto mode only. Upgraded to a Canon Rebel T3i in 2014, then upgraded again to the Canon 90D in late 2019.
In March of 2014 I purchased my first DSLR - a Canon Rebel T3i (D600). In August of 2016 I entered my very first photo contest, having submitted several photos to the annual Ventura County Fair for competition (among well over 1000 entries overall). Two of those photos won awards: "My Blue-Eyed Girl" won 2nd Place in the Advanced Amateur-Color Division-Domestic Animals/Pets Class, and "Leash in Still Life" won Honorary Mention in the Advanced Amateur-Color Division-Still Life Class. Entries in the 2017 and 2018 Ventura County Fairs garnered me another Honorable Mention: for "Hayden Bridge (in sepia tone)".
In 2018 I had a dozen of my Thomas Fire/Montecito Mudslide Aftermath photos publicly displayed (a first for me) at the Bell Arts Factory art studios in Ventura, CA for several months.
In late 2019, I upgraded to the Canon 90D (their newest top-of-the-line APS-C DSLR) as well as several new professional "L" lenses (EF 70-200 f/2.8 and EF 17-40 f/4), plus the Tamron 18-400 F/3.5-6.3, and the Rokinon 16 f/2.0 Aspherical. These lenses were added to my pre-existing lenses (EF 50 f/1.8, EF-S 18-55, EF-S 55-250). Intending to add to my ever-growing lens collection (EF 100 f/2.8 L Macro, plus a few others).
Some photos are untouched, while others have minor enhancements using Pixelmator (mostly cropping, and occasional adjustments in color, contrast, exposure, saturation, etc.). Only a few have major "Photoshop" work done, and they're obviously manipulated for altered effect. Soon to be upgrading to either Photoshop or Lightroom for post- work. Keep an eye out for my own personal website to be live sometime in 2022.
That's it. Enjoy!
