TROTT (Training Racehorses Off The Track) is a nonprofit dedicated to being a resource to help Owners and Trainers transition their retiring horses into new careers.

TROTT is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit.

Our funding is through donations and grants, and 100% goes directly to the care of our horses awaiting adoption.

 

ALL TROTT horses will be available for adoption. We make them available once they have been rehabbed properly, and cleared by our vet, then reconditioned properly, trained under saddle, and assessed for the job they are best suited for, and will enjoy the most.

 

Our interested adopters submit the pre-adoption form so we can determine which horses may fit their criteria. When the horses are ready for adoption, those people will get to meet them and ride them first.

 

TROTT horses are trained on trail as well as in the arena, so they have good minds. Since they come straight from the track or the training farm, they have missed the rescue cycle, so they are loving and trusting horses who are looking for their best friend partner.

 

TROTT is the matchmaker, and the horses and adopters are the winners!

TROTT (Training Racehorses Off The Track) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to providing retiring racehorses with opportunities for new careers beyond the track. Through rehabilitation and retraining in our professional facilities, we ensure each horse donated to TROTT has the chance to learn the new skills necessary for life as a pleasure or show horse in a non-racing home. TROTT believes that a horse with an “education,” or basic training, has a greater chance to lead a successful life off the racetrack. In addition to organizing fundraisers and events, we actively seek donations, sponsorships, and grants to support the horses in our program.
