To hear my parents tell it, I was born with a passion for the sea. Taking me to the beach as a toddler was a constant job of herding me back safely onto land. I still love all things related to the beach - surfing, snorkeling, swimming, and taking pictures.

My other passions include the environment and gadgets. Music is woven into who I am so tightly that it could never be separated out.

But mostly, I love people. Which is odd, because I'm a bit shy. But I love to watch people, photograph people, and get to know who they are and how they live. The only boring people are the ones I don't know well enough to know why they are interesting. We all have a story. My favorite portraits are the ones that let a little bit of the story out.
