History…

As long ago as I can remember, I have been intrigued by the transfer of my perspective of things in the form of creating art to be shared with others. I began making art at a very young age. I won my first art contest, for a painting, when I was in the second grade. Throughout high school I spent many boring math classes doodling on notepads or on just about anything I could get my hands on. I never could seem to get along with too many of my art teachers throughout the years. In 1996, when I was 18, I drew my first design for a festival in upstate NY to be sold to help me finance my trip. I then proceeded to drive my 1966 Chevy Truck from my home, in NC, all the way to upstate NY with the company of only one friend. Ever since then I have been creating art and traveling around the country seeing music and making art.

In 1998 I founded Graphics Taboot in Boone, NC with two great friends. We created our own shirts to sell around the country to help to finance our travel to see music and good friends nationwide. Then in 2002 I created my first poster design and soon decided that silk-screening was my medium of choice. Graphics Taboot grew and grew, and after moving the company to Denver, CO in January of 2007 and begining to work with another good old friend, things continued to grow as our custom printed promotions company settled into its new home. In 2011, after 13 years of running Graphics Taboot, I resigned from my position as operations manager to concentrate full time on my art.

I reside in Charlotte, North Carolina with my wife, Sutton, and our two sons; Hawke, who is two and our newest edition Harland.

All my art is created in my studio or while traveling and continuing to pursue my passion for great music and art.
