Someone who has always loved visual beauty and good times and is doing his best to capture them as often as he can! I like strong, warm light, bright colours, and good contrast. I have a penchant for square compositions and if I had to choose between pictures of people and pictures of stuff then I'd pick stuff, every time.
My main camera between 2007 and 2009 was a Nikon D80, used mainly with a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, though I also own a Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and the Nikkor 70-200mm VR.
In June 2009 I bought a D700 and Sigma 50mm f/1.4 for maximum low-light and DOF capability - great fun! I have added a 14-24 for fast wide-angle street, travel and event photography.
During the course of 2010 I got into shooting mainly with primes (I also have the 35/2 and 85/1.8 and they're probably my most-used lenses now) and using a lot of film emulation techniques in my post-production. The logical extension of that was to acquire a Nikon FM2 - my father's camera from the 1980s - and I really enjoy the back-to-basics, manual-everything style of shooting.
Having completely bitten the film bug (or did it bite me?) I have also obtained a Mamiya C220 and a Holga GCFN. To be honest I'm doing most of my shooting with these cameras lately. I am seriously addicted to film and grabbing as many types off ebay as I can. I've also just bought a Stylus Epic, a Lomo LC-A and a Mamiya 645 Pro TL!
Many of my older images were shot with a 4mp Pentax Optio S40 though, including my all-time most favourited:
