I am deeply keen about human rights, especially on the desperate situation of Falun Gong in China: for more info please visit www.falundafa.org or www.faluninfo.net. I'm also fairly big on the environment (lets all try and look after it so there's some left for tomorrow) and bicycles (ditch the car, ride a bike, get an Xtracycle).
I only really got into photography a few years ago when we were living in Australia. There was just something about the quality of the light out there that really made me want to reach out and try and catch hold of some of it. It just kind of grew from there through a combination of reading and randomly trying stuff out.
I'd say I'm getting somewhere (wherever that night be) slowly with it now. Flickr has been a great source of inspiration and friends so thank you all for sharing.
For some strange reason I still seem to think better in film and have got some of my best shots out of the most basic of really rather old cameras. I rather like this; it reminds me that as a medium photography is as simple or as complicated as you make it. I like fixing things too, must be my inner recycler (thanks mum), which is just as well given the kit I choose to work with!
I'm a science technician, like to meditate, am happily married and currently live in the SW of England (where I'm from).

This is a fine collection, done by an individual with a natural gift, for allowing him to capture the light, so clear and in balance on his film. His subjects varied, his tools simple and pure, his results, are true to his vision, of the subjects he sought. My friends let us enjoy these fruits of his labour.
