As retirement was looming, I resurrected an old interest in photography and bought a Canon EOS 400D. Being lucky to live near the beautiful area of Cannock Chase gives many photographic opportunities.

I got used to the EOS 400D, I felt it was time to move on after 12 months and upgraded to an EOS 50D, a 7D, then an EOS 7D mkii, and now I have an R5 I, time will tell if this was a good move, its certainly given me more to learn.

I am married and have 2 children, my daughter is the youngest and is a McMillan nursing sister in a hospice, she got married to Paul in August 2008. In December 2009 they presented us with a beautiful grand daughter, Jessica Clair.

My son was a computer software developer working on the new NHS computer system. Sadly he passed away at Christmas 2006 from cancer aged 33, leaving 3 children, the oldest was only 4 when he left us.
