As an environmentalist, my goal is to create paintings that speak both to me and to others about the beauty that exists in nature. In pursuit of this goal I have drawn inspiration from personal photos, photos taken by friends, and photos I have merely found online; truly if an image inspires me I’ll paint it. I also draw a lot of inspiration from my father. He has been painting for over 30 years and taught me everything I know. My great grandmother was also an oil painter and I am now attempting to carry on the family tradition in my own style. With each painting I do I attempt to modernize the idea of traditional landscape oil painting through the use of contrast and aggressive colour saturation.

I also post some of my Fathers work here. He is reluctant to sell them, but he is also begining to run out of wall space. Unless you know him personally, this is the only place you can purchase his work. He is a native Texan and has been oil painting for nearly 30 years. I have listed him as the artist in the information under each of his paintings.
