When I was young I would walk to a plot of land across the gravel road that my family, since it was east of the main homestead, called “The East Place”. It has an old has that the hired hands used to live in, a barn, and a windmill. Further back a creek winds its way through the property. I planted my flag there. I would walk along the creek and explore. I found old cars and even created a little campsite along the creek. I really honed my passion for photography there. The East Place became my refuge of silence and creativity. It still is. I hope to share that with you.

What I like doing most with my photographs is showing the beauty in something that would otherwise go unnoticed.
