John Hales died on 10 January 2021 after catching covid-19. He was an extraordinary person, who had overcome many health struggles since the day he was born. He had a tremendous zest for life and was enjoying it in his usual way until two weeks before he died. We thought he could beat anything, but sadly covid-19 was a fight he just couldn’t win. Please continue to enjoy his photographs. They are his true legacy. Flickr have allowed me to take over his account for now and eventually it will be placed In Memorium. We hope John will continue to speed along on his wheels in Photographers Heaven. Best wishes Chris Hales, John’s wife.

My favourite subjects are Sports and Street. For the winter of 2020/21 I will be on a scanning project with 1000's of negs and slides.
