I had done a dismal job capturing the end of steam on the old NER area and not much better in the early years of preserved steam. Then circa 1980 I sourced a rather battered Pentax 6x7 body. In order to master the camera and format I started home processing B&W 120 film. I also went out and took anything that moved on my local stretch of the ECML. It coincided with the appearance of the FP White cabbed Deltics which quickly got me hooked on them and the rest is history. None of which shown here would have been possible without the love and support from my "Better Half" and fellow "NE based photographers".
