I have 4 kids: 19, 17, 15, and 6. When my oldest children were young we were so broke that we couldn't afford to develop a ton of pictures and it was all the point and shoot kind. We were so broke at one point the coffee table was a cooler covered in a sheet!
I always wanted to have nice pictures and had a few done but it wasn't until I took a sociology of art class and had to create a piece of art that I really started getting interested in photography. My husband who has always been a photography enthusiast--took classes, etc.--bought a Sony a100 2 1/2 years ago and he got to keep it for about 6 months of that. Thankfully, he's only mildly disgruntled about it. He's been excellent at giving me technical advice and even showing me various fundamentals of style.
That doesn't mean I am sticking to all of the rules. I love to experiment--and I love to see all of the fabulous ideas here on flickr.
In my bag:
Sony a100
My new baby: Sigma 50mm F/1.4 Yay!!!
35-80mm F/3.5
75-300mm F/5.6
Thanks for taking a peek. I'm open to constructive criticism--if you have any suggestions for how to improve please let me know.
I do retain copyright on my stuff--regardless of the quality of it! Please don't take what isn't yours. Thanks!
