I am an amateur photography enthusiast, pursuing Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering @ Purdue.

I am Very passionate about photography ever since childhood. Recently got a Nikon D300s as a gift. Earlier, I was using various p&s cameras. Very overwhelmed by the new step into the dSLR world!! Looking for friends here who would help me improve by giving tips on getting started with my new journey.

My Current Setup:

1. Nikon D300s (Would've preffered a nikon d90 or even D3000/5000)(This camera has so many options i dont even know about!!)

2. Nikon 50mm f1.8

3. Nikon 18-105mm

Any tips for me to get started with this new phase of life??? I don't get much time for my hobbies, but I will seriously devote time to develop and improve my photographing skills.
