Toybreaker blog. What we eat is not based on taste, but on perceived beauty and rejection of beauty, much like the operation of the fashion industry.
I use this space to document events in Detroit and our collective travels, as well as my incessant studio work at the Tie Lab which is also located in Downtown Detroit. (lots of boring product photography.) I'm a hyper-documenter and since I make stuff every day, That's usually what gets the lens time. Product shots with models are much more fun!
I am a photographer, menswear and costume designer; I tinker with electronic music, websites and break toys. When I'm not working at the studio, I'm usually playing records with my dj alter ego, Dethlab.

Toybreaker's hot and talented and a fantastic friend. She creates pieces of art and does excellent photography, she can model and do outfits for rock stars and movie stars. She's truly one of a kind and I'm proud to call her my friend.
Bethany has a unique style of photography. She has the ability to make the mundane and grotesque beautiful. Her photos elicit both horror and wonder at the same time. I admire her photos that document Detroit’s decay and it's rebirth. She has “the eye”.
