I bought an underwater housing for my boyfriend's canon powershot sd500 as a birthday present for him, and I ended up loving underwater photography; now I'm crazy about it.
I'm still using the same canon and I hope to upgrade to something better soon.
UPDATE: I just received as a birthday present from my boyfriend (03 Jun 2007) a new camera, a Canon G7 with housing for underwater photography. Now I'm hoping to go diving soon to take new pictures with it :-)

I'm passionate about animals, specially horses;, macaws and dogs; I would have love to be a veterinary.
I practice Equitation (show jumping) and I'm a Master Scuba Diver.

They are not just technically good - well composed, well lit, well framed and so on - they also show that Karen has that essential quality of the good underwater photographer - patience. It's not easy to wait for the right moment. Fish can be very elusive (or are well disguised). If she is already this good, it is scary to think how good she is going to get - David Doubilet had better watch out!
