Born in Durham, N.C., I moved to Oklahoma to do some storm chasing. Never really thought I would get into photography, but the look of these storms I have seen caused me to gradually get into it. I also love to photograph bugs and nature, especially jumping spiders. I try to get shots that really show detail in the subject I'm shooting now. At first my photos were horrible in quality, but my new cam has made a difference. I'm still learning the new cam I got on 2-28-11, but it is coming along as I learn how to use the Iris settings and the shutter speed, which is an option I don't have with my old cam. I still would like to get a camera just for stills, but being that I video storms, the Panasonic HDC HS700K gave me a two in one deal that I couldn't pass up. And with 14.2 MP stills, it is worth the price I paid, especially since it also records videos in Hi-Def at 1080p.
