Hey. Slightly frivolous hobby photographer here.
When I started using flickr, I was snapping away with cheap digital cameras to document the fun things and people in my life. I've now graduated to cheap analogue cameras since receiving a Smena Symbol for my birthday in 2010. Nowadays my overwhelming interest is in 35mm. I have several cameras, all on the cheap side, most once belonging to older family members. These include the trusty Symbol (still my fave), a Pentax SV (OMG SLR, you mean I can *see* what I'm shooting??? witchcraft!), a Smena 8M, a Zorki with a messed-up lens, a FED-2 and a FED-4 with some issues, and an ActionSampler (another gift, and my only fancy, overpriced lomography gear.) I try to take at least one of these cameras with me everywhere I go, and I mostly photograph landscapes and friends in landscapes. I adore the quaint mood of these shots and I love seeing work by fellow cheap Soviet camera lovers and other analogue photographers.
I just remembered, reading this profile description in 2015, than in 2009 I made two other accounts, since forgotten: sophie_merk is about my friends and sophie_in_england is about my holiday in Kent in Jan-Feb 2009. I'm a bit embarrassed about all the old cheap digital shots because they're that bland but I'll leave them up for the nonce. I'm 0% embarrassed about my mediocre analogue shots, they bring a lot of joy into my life.

Sophie has created wonderful and unique captures that create a special warm feeling. A great collection of your travels and slices of your life.

Don't know her personally, but I'm sure her second mother tongue is lomo. Great photographer!
