but, flickr did inspire me... I sought out lots more creative shots to capture (as well as those all important wife-&-3-kids shots).

 

Cropping is about as much software manipulation I can do. And I'm happy with that. Thanks to Dave Gorman & his Guardian article for the inspiration to discover flickr.

 

My usual buddy icon is a face from over a doorway arch in Guatemala City - I've added the original image.

 

Oh, I should point out that some (OK a lot) of the photos here were taken by Mrs Topinambour. (Strangely enough, she Female, Taken, age undisclosed, and she's from Auvergne, France.)

 

P.S. Topinambour is a French word which I like the sound of... It's the French name for a Jerusalem artichoke. (In Dutch: aardpeer; German: erdbirne; Spanish: topinambur; Latin: Helianthus tuberosus.) Oh, & apparently it's called a sunchoke in America!
