I have lived in East Surrey for 30 years, but grew up on the Kent/Surrey borders at Edenbridge where living by the railway line fuelled my interest in railways. Later I also developed an interest in buses, and in due course I might get round to adding pictures of canals and inland waterways too.

I started taking reasonable pictures once I started work in 1974 and bought a decent SLR camera, a Praktica LTL, and most of the scans in my photostream were taken on this camera which still sees occasional use today.

Most of my photos and my greatest interest relate to the Southern Region - I lived by and used either the Reading-Tonbridge line or the Oxted line for half my life. Likewise, my bus photos mainly feature London Country and Maidstone and District.
