I have been writing about South and South East Asia for more than a decade and have published non fiction and fiction books, travel guides, television screenplays, and numerous features investigating cultural, social, environmental and political trends and oddities in the region.
My articles appear in publications such as The Far Eastern Economic Review, The Asia Wall Street Journal, Marie Claire, Maxim and Penthouse.
My first novel, ‘The Devil’s Road to Kathmandu is published by Dragon’s Mouth Press (HK).
Much of the year, I am on the road, researching stories, fulfilling assignments. My travels have led me across the Himalayas, given me the opportunity to dive with hundreds of sharks in the Philippines and left me stranded in dozens of train stations, airports and bus terminals around South Asia, Europe and the US.
On my journeys, I have joined sea gypsies and nomads, pilgrims and soldiers, secret agents, pirates, hippies, police men and prophets. Everyone put up with me longer than I deserved.
