toms work is interesting imaginative charming funny creative unique enchanting sad emotional inventive amazing delightfull the list could go on forever. i have never in all my life seen work like this before it truly amazes me and is so thought provoking . long after tom posts an image i find my self thinking about it . you will never walk away from one of toms works of art without feeling something. that really is a special gift i think the work of a great mind. tom as a contact is so much easier to describe as he is so kind and thoughtfull and always leaves a note of encouragement . i am truly glad the day i found toms work as i smile everytime i see an email telling me he has posted a photo as i wonder what it will make me feel or think . thank you for being such a good contact/friend on flickr and for all your inspirational work i just love it . i look forward to seeing you work long into the future . irene

tomswift46 performs as a true artist at many levels; therefore it's inadequate to merely call him a photographer, although he is that, and a fine one to boot. Tom's work arouses many different things on many different levels, tugging and prodding at our emotions of fear, laughter, anxiety, social consciousness, and more. He is political, but not; he is abstract, but not; rest assured that whatever label defines him, he is truly an artist, and one that uses his work to make us think, and think again. His work is well-planned and excuted, rather than impulsive, and in addition to entertaining the eye his work always contains a message of food for thought. In addition to being a fine artist, Tom Swift has become a fine friend. You can't ask for any more than that, and I'm appreciative.
