A native of Kansas City, I graduated with a BS in Photojournalism from the University of Kansas in 1985 and worked several years as a newspaper photographer in southeast Kansas.

I no longer make a living as a photographer, but my wife and I enjoy spending our free time photographing the people and places of eastern Kansas. Our photography is done for ourselves or for non-profit causes and organizations.

I shoot primarily with Pentax gear, both film (35mm and medium format) and digital (APS-C and full-frame), and almost exclusively in black and white.
