I love taking pictures and have since I was about 10 years old with my first 110 camera. I've had several different camera in the since then, but with each one I've learned something. I currently carry two cameras, a canon Rebel T2i which is a good camera, but is bulky to carry everywhere. The second and my favorite is a pansonic dmz-tz3, which fits easily in my purse and still has a 10x zoom. I carry both with me almost all of the time, so I'm ready.

Even though I've been taking picture for well over 30 years, I have a lot to learn. Most of what I've done is family shots, but I am trying to expand that out to do more. Right now I'm in a flower phase, and you can see that by my photo stream. I love them and like to capture them at different angles.

I've started keeping a journal, where I jot down things I want to photograph. It can be things I've seen on other flickr pages, things I like, or just things that sound fun. It has been lots of fun for my partner in crime (my sister) and I to find things to photograph. And even more interesting is that we can be in the same place taking photos of the same thing and we each see it from a different angle, so our photos look different.

I'm a born and raised Texan, and love it. Texas has such a rich character that I'm sure it will be a long time before I run out of things to photograph here.

My second love is quilting. I love fabric, and my dream job would be folding and photographing fabric. I love all colors, but my favorite color is purple. Right now I am finding myself wanting to do a low volume quilt. I love how they look.
