I have always loved photographs and started as a boy with a box camera. As a student a experimented a lot with a Praktica SLR and a Olympus 35 mm. I had a small darkroom for black and white photographs but in the end I felt it a bit too expensive to keep that hobby. Due to work, family, and other interests photography slid into background of my attention until digital photography came up. After playing around for a while, e.g. with a used Canon D30 which unfortunately crashed some day, I had the opportunity to try a Nikon D300s and Nikon lenses for quite some time which thrilled me immediately. Now I have a Nikon D7000 which I like very much. Photographing is a field of continuous learning, complex and satisfying, and I am very happy to get into it again. After some time I changed to a D700, which was a lot of fun, particularly with the amazing F2.8 zoom lenses. But finally I realised that the Nikon was much too heavy to tow around and I started to look for alternatives.

In 2013 I bought a Fuji x100s, an amazing tool with very different options than my Nikons but equally exciting. I really fell in love with that camera and got more and more into the Fuji world. In the last years I bought the Fuji X-T1 which convinced me to change my system alltogether. Today I am photographing with an X-T2, an X-Pro 2, and, also lovely, the X-70, along with most of the prime lenses and some Fuji zooms. I am happy with that decision and look forward to future developments.

Recently I sold my x100s and bought a x100f which is really an amazing step forward compared to the x100s - I just love it!

My newest camera is a Leica Q2, amazing images and fun to handle!
