As a trained sculptor and more recently a self taught photographer I strive to create. My work is a bold mix of themes, materials and techniques. Colour fascinates me as does the ability to remove it from an image focusing the eye on the subject rather than the instant gratification of bold patterns, fleshy tones etc. In my sculpture I seek to create tactile objects and surfaces often working with simplistic and everyday materials such as clay, plaster, glass, wax and cement to offer up something of beauty which calls out to be touched.

Through my figurative photography I seek to create atmospheric works presenting the viewer with a moment in time of someones life. I strive to produce beautiful, striking portraits of those close to me capturing a moment in time. One's face, body and the way we look are key to how we are accepted in society and so through the use of a camera I have set out to capture the moment a person, in my view, looks their best, capturing a glimpse of both the external image they wish to portray and by focusing on their eyes, a sense of inner beauty. At times these are cinematic in style pushing the viewer to experience the subject beyond that of just a 'family photo.'

I am available for commission and produce work to any scale or quantity, typically I work to a human scale as I feel this ensures the viewers relationship with, and impact of a piece.
