Illustrator and Designer in Vancouver, British Columbia.

As of 2013, most of my posts are photos I take in everyday situations (usually walking to and from work or when out grabbing a coffee). I take an interest in accidental compositions I find in urban or manmade contexts.

A recurring theme I have discovered in my own shots is urban banality. There is usually a sense of irony or even bathos, where what should (or seems to) have been something of great significance or beauty is in reality trite or completely overlooked.

Composition is often straight-on and one-point perspective, centring the subject of interest (or lack thereof) without embellishment or the appearance of effort.

Whether anybody else sees the interestingness in the uninteresting I do not know. I do wonder. Please let me know if you do.
