A successful commercial/industrial photographer with a fine arts education. I'm 56 years old and enjoy the arts, travel, fine food and most of all my children. Educated at the Rhode Island School of Design, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and presently taking continuing education classes at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, I enjoy the new technology that has reinvented the process of printing images but has not altered the intuitive and cognitive process of capturing them. I strive to record people, places and things that are slightly askew, non mainstream, childlike if not simply children looking straight on with little manipulation. I find the background and with little guidance allow the subject matter to decide how they want to be depicted. In many ways I'm as much as an anthropogist as I am a photographer. Documenting styles, characteristics, popular gatherings, recreation, wall paintings and our habitat. After a long career recording events from a very formal perspective to meet my customers requirements, I'm making every effort to throw away those constraints in my own work. Personally, I can see it happening with some of my newer images such as "Romo and Ms. Rymes". I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read about why I do what I do and hope you'll stop by again and again as I hope to add new imagery often.
