Jan 2012. Have been absent from Flikr for a long time and before Christmas started trying to update my photostream to try and keep the photos in chronological order, but it proved an impossible task, so I've decided to jump in just where I am and will now continue to upload current photos and some from the past when I can.

 

I love playing with photoshop and lightroom and use them for photo manipulation as an end in itself but also to develop ideas from my photographs for my paintings.

 

I'm looking forward to catching up with some 'old' flickr friends but also to making some new ones.

 

I'm inspired by the everyday things around me, my family, particularly my two gorgeous grandchildren, light patterns, even the ground under my feet.

 

I'm an art teacher, I teach deaf and visually impaired kids. I use sign language to communicate to deaf kids in school and am hoping to do some art projects involving the idea of communication through sign and though I am very excited by this idea it is only at a very early embryonic stage.

 

I draw paint and do some textile work myself. I love faces, drawing children, cats and birds.

 

I live in Belfast in N Ireland.
