To me, photography is a distortion of time and space. Photographers intervene in every photo they make whether by selecting, omitting, enhancing and suppressing elements in the images. And the stillness of a photograph is also unnatural and startling to the viewers.

Despite that, photography has a connection to reality as we can see when certain photographs engender intense or effusive responses from viewers. By this polar nature, photographs are philosophical because they appear natural but unnatural.
