I first picked up a camera when I was about 4 or 5. My babysitter "Dawsie" taught me how to take photographs, all about African Wildlife (she had lived in Kenya for most of her life), and cooking.

Wildlife, Photography & cooking have remained as my 3 biggest passions in life.

When I was about 7 or 8, my parents upgraded their camera and I was given their old one. A Kodak Instamatic. Despite the name this was not a polaroid type camera, but a 35mm compact(ish). I think I had a 110 next, then the list becomes blurry.

In the late 80's a bought a 2nd hand Pentax P30 SLR, which served me through until after I bought my first DSLR.

I did have a lovely OM10 at one stage, but unfortunately that was stolen & the insurance replaced it with an inferior (imho) OM2000. I also still have a Nikon F50 SLR.

I now mostly use a Sony a77, a550, an a100, a waterproof Sony TX5 and my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone.

I always have at least one camera with me where ever I am.
