I'm a Software Guy who likes to take photos. I shoot mainly with my Nikon D40 and a progression of two-thirds-up-the-food-chain point-and-shoots like the Nikon E950, the Canon PowerShot A95, and the Canon PowerShot A640.

I love my versatile Gitzo Explorer 2220 tripod, which is great for nature and macro photography. To the 'pod I've added a Gitzo ballhead that I've augmented with Really Right Stuff's quick-release system and B150-B Macro Focusing Rail. Nevertheless, I mostly shoot handheld.
