Hey, glad you dropped by! Pull up a chair! Can I pour you something? You may have no interest in reading the blah blah blah that follows, so I want to get one thing in quickly. Thanks for looking at and enjoying my photos! It means a lot to me. Leave some comments if you will, I appreciate them all.
Now on to the blah blah blah.
I have been taking photos since the early 70s. From 1976 to 1986 I exposed an intimidating number of negatives and chromes. I am scanning this work and doing some current stuff as well. The scanning project will be ongoing for years.
I use a (sadly discontinued) Minolta Dimage Scanner that gives me 100 meg tiffs of the chromes. The scanning takes time and concentration, so I tend to scan in spurts.
It is an interesting experience becoming aquainted again with the old images. Especially the black and white negatives, which I have not visited much in 20 to 30 years. That is good because while the negatives are in great shape, they are a pain to spot. No digital image correction to help.
I am an old darkroom guy, used to have the stained fingers to prove it. Now I use Photoshop Elements and a wonderful Epson 2400 printer to make really great prints with ease and no smell! But since I am an old darkroom guy, I barely know my way around Elements. SO what you see is what I saw more or less.
Over time I intend to start selling prints again. Your feedback will certainly be appreciated! I am really enjoying Flickr as the community aspects are quire enjoyable. And there are so many talented photographers who can share their work so easily now. So thanks for being interested enough to read this. Please tell me what you like and what you don't. Trey

Trey is one of my favorite flickr friends. He's got a good eye for composition and apparently knows how to get the babes to sit for him. Now what more could you want in life?
Well, this is my dad. He has taught me everything I know about photography. Although he stole a few of my pictures, he is still an amazing photographer. TMink posts a new picture almost every day. Keep watching him and his interesting pictures.
