I have been living in Bavaria, Germany. Originally I’m from Southwest Germany. My profession is process engineering in the semi conductor industry.

Photography

Photography is my hobby. I came to photography via my backpacking and trekking tours. More than 20 years ago I turned from a trekker taking pictures into a hiking photographer.

Since then I have been trying to combine both activities, which is not easy.

Photography locations

- Far north of Europe,

- Southern parts of Germany,

- Canary Islands and

- sometims selected areas in Asia.

Hardware

- Pentax (KP and P645D).

- Panasonic Lumix GX9.

Post Processing

I am shooting RAW. The complete image processing is done on RAWs with Capture One and recently - on a test base in darktable and rawtherapee.

Additional to the basics, I use clarity, structure and sharpening for details. Some healing is applied, if necessary.

Masks are being used for dodging and burning. I’m very open for B&W. No HDR or stacking is being applied and no major part of the image is being replaced.
