I'm a hobbyist photographer in the Appleton, WI area. My photography interests include railroads, live productions, nature, anything abandoned or industrial, and portraits.

Unless otherwise stated, all my photos have been edited as RAWs in RawTherapee. While I generally do achieve results that are (in my opinion) better than the straight JPEGs, I primarily do this to build practice and experience with editing. I understand that much can (and should) be done while taking the photo to achieve the best initial product possible, but post-processing is, in my experience, the only effective way to produce consistent photos even in difficult lighting conditions, such as in harsh direct sunlight and at strange angles that cast otherwise deep shadows. I always strive to improve and perfect my craft while searching for and developing a unique style or take on photos which have already been done hundreds of times over.
