I want to put my time, energy and resources where they can make a difference in the world. I have found a GREAT PROJECT that does just this – it is the School of St Jude in Tanzania. This school provides free education to the poorest of the poor.
Starting with 3 kids in 2002, the school will enrol 1,500 in 2011 – thanks to the ability and energy of its founder, the Australian Gemma Sisia.
Tanzania is one of the 10 poorest countries in the world and Government revenue is insufficient to provide free elementary education to all children.
I support the school with monthly donations and by encouraging others to take an interest in Fighting Poverty Through Education. Check out their website where updates are posted daily. www.schoolofstjude.co.tz/
