Me and photography – Manifesto

This love of photography was buried in me for so many years. Since I had my first camera 36 years ago I had this fantasy to be a professional photographer, and these days I am doing it more professionally in terms of creativity and technique than ever before.

I have started taking pictures at the age of 7 on the black and white films with a horrible camera (which I can’t remember where it came from. originally). My late brother in law was an enthusiastic photographer and had a little dark room on the top of our house in a small room. He was my inspiration in photography. I used to love watching his flashy gears; a Hasselblad, a Leica a Nikon F2 which is given to me recently, and so many lenses, filters and so on. I have always watched and learned but never asked questions. Later I find myself working in a photography shop to pay for my music lessons!

I have done music for so many years and never had enough time to dedicate to photography but in the recent years I have started to develop and dedicate more time and effort and got more engaged with it. Music never was all my life; I believe that life is more expanded to be dedicated to “one thing” only. Music was and is part of my life and photography is only another part and not “the other part”.

My approach to photography is to picture an imaginary world in which things are delicate, soft and perfect. In my visionary world everything is a sign and a landmark to a non-existed place behind the trees, landscapes and things. I try to capture the portrait of the person; behind my model. I am not at all an expert in visual arts but happened to have a good eye. As you can see photography in me is so wild and natural and that’s why I enjoy it so much. I am still learning and would appreciate all the constructive comments.

Warm regards and lots of love
