Hi, I'm Tina. I'm generally a friendly, kind soul, but I do expect a little sensitivity and consideration if you contact me. I'm a mature crossdresser and came out to my wife and close family in the last few years, so very late in my relationships, and therefore as far as they would be concerned, it would have been a bit of a shocker. I am very lucky that I have their support, if not their indulgence.
I love to be creative and most of that goes into my dressing, outfits and pics (although I have to admit my photography skills are extremely basic). I love it that I can portray a glamorous woman, absolutely love it - but with the canvas I have at my disposal it does take a fair bit of work! I am also a creative musician and after a certain amount of acclaim as a songwriter, I have now combined my fem traits with that to create an androgynous Bowie tribute act - at the time of writing I have mastered 70 of his songs on guitar and vocals. After doing a solo act for a few years I now have a superb Bowie tribute band called 'Tina Machine' (look up the name of Bowie's band in the late 80s/early 90s - it had to be this!).
I care very much about the position of trans people of all kinds in society, too, and this is also a theme of my babd. We only live once and everyone should be free to be the person they are inside, as long as it doesn't inflict harm on others. I'm also very worried about what we are doing to our world and its natural diversity. I'm just saying this so you know the kind of person I am and we can avoid disagreements or antagonisation. I'm not mad keen on confrontation.
Oh yes, and I'm in Australia, which is a great, open and generally accepting place to live. However, it does place me a long way from many who experience life in the way I do, which can be frustrating at times. I do get to travel a fair bit, though now I am retired that's dwindled quite a lot.
