I was an underwater photographer, based in the UK. I began with a fascination for shipwrecks, despite training as a biologist and later in medicine. I am an amateur: i.e. I spend money on my photography, I don't make money from it! I'm also attracted to historical landscapes and, more recently, historical aircraft.

Although I began with an elderly Zenit and my first new camera was a Minolta, I’ve been a solid Nikonian. But I now have a tiny Leica to rest my neck…
