A long time ago I made a living of sorts doing formal portraits, weddings, a bit of commercial, that sort of thing. But even with the benefit of a darkroom, pro discounts and so on, I still found personal photography prohibitively expensive. Once I was back in the real world, having divested myself of all the gear when the recession bit hard, it was even more so.

That's why I love digital photography. Even now, earning pretty good money, I just couldn't afford to shoot film at the rate I like to, so for me it's a Godsend. You might like some of my photographs, you might not. For me it's a personal pleasure thing. And I worship flickr - it's a thing of beauty.
