Hi, everyone! I'm Lana, I live in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I love photography, and I think Flickr is a great place for sharing pics! It has taught me to be more critical to the photos I take and to appreciate others' work.

Here on Flickr I have discovered quite a few photographers, both professional and amateur whose work I admire... I have also found some great friends who bring joy and sunshine into my life with their wonderful pictures and hearty comments.

Flickr has changed the way I look at the world around me now. Even if I don't have a camera with me, I note the beauty that surrounds me and wish I could share it with everyone! To cut it short, I have become a Flickr addict :) If you sign in and smile when you see that yellow thingie that says "new comments" and if you are impatient to check out new pics from your friends, you know what I mean...

I have two cats:

Plushka (pronounced Ploosh-ka) - a British blue shorthair girl;

- and Basya, a Russian blue shorthair girl.

Tima, the orange tabby, lived for 15 years and passed away in December 2008.

Misha, the fluffy grey cat, lived for 15 years and passed away in September 2009.

As you can see, my cats give me a lot of enjoyable moments. I also like taking pics of flowers, and a fan of macro shots too.
